Coming Soon - Core De Force Home Workout Program

WHAT IS CORE DE FORCE?
BEACHBODY'S NEWEST WORKOUT PROGRAM

I am super excited to announce a brand new Beachbody program launching on October 31st!  Core De Force is a 30 day total body transformation program that will give amazing results.  The best part about the program is that the only equipment you need is YOU!  Core De Force is an MMA inspired program which includes 3 minute “rounds” where you will get boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai, knee-elbow combinations, bodyweight training and  cardio spikes that will help you lose belly fat and shred your body.  If you can focus on hitting it hard for 3 minutes at a time before you know it the workout will be over.

What is Core De Force?

Core De Force is your 30 day countdown to a total body transformation.  This workout was created by Joel Freeman and Jericho McMatthews, it is the ultimate mixed martial arts-inspired workout that is going to really knock off the belly fat, get rid of inches and tone and tighten your entire body with no equipment. I love this workout because in every workout there is a “learn it & work it” section that breaks down the moves so that you can learn them before you do the workout.  So if you are new to the MMA style exercises this will give you confidence to go right in and kick some butt.  Core De Force is also not on a beat or rhythm so you do not have follow a specific routine per se.  There are modifiers in every single workout so no matter what your ability level is, you can go at your own pace.  As you get stronger the goal is to challenge yourself with higher intensity and increased focus. I also like that there is no equipment needed except yourself.  This is key for those that are budget conscious, don’t have a lot of room to workout or are traveling and want to workout in a hotel room.

Core De Force takes the barriers away to getting started in your health and fitness journey because it is easy to follow and all you really have to do is show up and press play on the workout of the day!  My goal is to help you lead a life full of total wellness and health.

What Makes Core De Force So Effective?

CORE DE FORCE isn’t your run-of-the-mill Kickboxing workout. Each move, whether it’s a jab, a kick, or an uppercut, works your core from every angle. Joel and Jericho call this 360-Degree Core Training—and it’s more effective than traditional abdominal training to help you tighten up your entire midsection and carve a more defined waist.

Who is Core De Force For?

Core De Force is for everyone.  Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced level in your fitness you can do this workout.  You will enjoy the challenge of taking the intensity higher to improve your cardio strength, speed and endurance.  Each MMA inspired workout has an optional move breakdown to help you get familiar with the combinations.  There is also a “modifier track”  so you can follow a split screen if you would like as well. Core De Force also focuses on rotational moves which means you will work your core from 360 degrees every time you hit play. That is going to be awesome for all of us who really want to tone that trouble area!

Finding Balance & Complete Wellness

Balance. A word we all talk about and strive for but don't always find.  Over the past 6 months I have had plenty of time to contemplate my healthy living journey.  When I fell in love with fitness and clean eating, I fell totally in love. Loved the way I felt, loved the way I looked, loved everything.

I continually took it to the next level through diet and my workouts. At one point I was in the gym twice a day 4-5 days a week, and once a day every other day. I consistently deleted options from my meal plan. I ate chicken and spinach mainly. Passed on that amazing glass of wine the majority of the time.  Still somehow I never felt like I was quite there. I basically lived in "competition prep mode" year round. With no intention of ever competing.  I started to lose that love and feeling for my routine. The passion was gone.  I began to struggle.

I realized I was forgetting the "living" part of the healthy lifestyle. I eased up. I accepted and enjoyed the happy hour invitation. I ate an off plan meal and learned to let go of the guilt and remorse. I learned to live again and live a healthy lifestyle. I still look back at those early pictures and long a bit for that body. But trying to maintain that year round is impractical.

It's been almost 6 months since I touched a weight. I have realized that I had been slacking on my mental strength and endurance. I've learned to relax. Learned to meditate. Learned to calm my mind. And what I have realized is although I love weight training and will continue that moving forward it will only be a piece of the puzzle for me.  I intend to incorporate yoga into my new routine so that I truly have #completewellness rather than just physical strength.

Welness is a constantly evolving subject and I truly believe to find that balance you must continually strive to achieve #completewellness which is body, mind and soul. That is the perfect recipe for long term success. Does it all happen in the gym? No! It happens through whatever means work for you. For me it's a happy hour with my sweet hubby. The smell of essential oil diffusing in my home. The daily practice of gratitude. So many things I have learned to enjoy.

I am very much looking forward to being healed and starting on my new plans. I strive for simpler, healthier, better lifestyle. And although I have attended many yoga classes, I want to fully understand and take it to the next level. I would love to hear from any fellow yogis out there with tips and advice. Cheers to the future!

Gym Bag Monday - Lip Bon Bons

One thing I notice is my lips get very dry and chapped while working out. I have tried several products but they don't seem to work out for me. Most of them leave a gummy, sticky film and feeling on my lips.  I have finally found one product that works great during work out - younique lip bon bons.  They are vey lightly colored and scented but work great!  There are five amazing colors to choose from.  You can check the out here:
